I like the concept, however it will be very difficult to even begin using it. The plus side is that the guru community is strong, this could get passed to other forums as well, and soon a large conglomerate of people would utilise this method, which in turn would be influenced on others in game.

Global party search > this idea.

So I prefer to have a global party search if there's something to do with the trading issues.

Also, lol GW economy...

Most sellers/buyers have a hard enough time staying in trade chat... this isn't a bad idea but it won't work out.

Eh, people should all just get on GWO or Guru and use those trade places. Spamming in towns? HAH! That's like living in caves now-a-days, you never sell anything.

I would love it if this idea actually worked, but it won't, especially as long as we must go through the 4 unholy towns of Lion's Arch, Kaineng Center, Kamadan, and Great Temple of Balthazar.

Make either one/two giant maps (if two: one would be Tyria/Elona, other would be Battle Isles/Cantha), or change the function of the boat/asura gate to show the continent map.

Then this might work, as people won't be forced to go through the four unholy towns, at least as much.

It sounds like a good idea, but as the majority of people have already said: it's simple not possible.

What I do think would help, though, is to separate the Buy/Sell tabs in trade. Maybe eventually have a list of items from a menu:

Item: ________
Quantity: _______
Price: ________
Notes: ________

It'll make things very easy to find if you're buying.

even if this system were to be put into affect, Guru consists of 184,016 members. Guild Wars itself has 2-5 million players (I forgot how many).

You're talking a .5% to .05% of the community is on this forum. Only have .5% of the game's players working this system will not work because everyone else would continue to run around Kamadan yelling "OmigOSH guiz. I gots a r13 caster elemental sword!!! 5k." (yes, that is actually how 99.5% of guild wars players speak.)

So I don't support it because:
a. i quit weeks ago
b. the percentages say it won't work.
